L’Osservatore Romano has published a strongly positive review of Dorothy Day: Love in Action, a recent biography of the foundress of the Catholic Worker movement by Patrick Jordan, who worked with Day from 1968 until her death in 1980.

Praising Day’s “profundity and honesty,” reviewer Giulia Galeotti recalls a contemporary historian’s assessment that Day is “the most important, interesting, and influential figure in the history of American Catholicism.”
